I wanted to share a customer story that feels very relevant for teams building Genie in real enterprise environments.
We recently highlighted work with BASF Coatings on a production-ready, governed, multi-agent solution built with Databricks. What I found especially interesting is how strongly it connects to themes already coming up here: governance, quality, and the point where a single Genie Space may no longer be enough.
One key takeaway: Genie gets much stronger when teams actively curate business context, not just schemas. In the BASF Coatings example, Unity Catalog metadata helped guide question parsing and SQL generation, and authors further improved outcomes by defining joins, adding synonyms, and curating BASF-specific instructions.
