With the growing number of Databricks certifications and new capabilities across the data and AI ecosystem, I’ve been thinking about the gap between preparing for a certification and applying those concepts in production.
From a practical data engineering perspective, areas such as PySpark optimization, Delta Lake design, incremental processing, data quality, orchestration, and lakehouse architecture can have a significant impact on how successfully a solution works at scale.
I’d be interested to hear from the community:
Which Databricks concepts or skills do you think are most valuable to master beyond certification preparation?
And for those who have recently taken a Databricks certification, what was one topic or concept that turned out to be especially useful in your day-to-day work?
Looking forward to learning from everyone's experiences and seeing how the platform and certification paths continue to evolve.
Thanks,
Deepak
