To Bar Raisers:
In the early days of any great endeavour, we must decide if we will be a company that settles for "good enough" or one that relentlessly pursues excellence. At our core, we have chosen the latter. We are bar raisers. This isn't just a title; it’s a commitment to a higher standard of operational excellence and cultural integrity.
Inspired by the foundations of Day 1 leadership, we are building an environment where high-velocity decision-making meets deep intellectual honesty. To remain builders, we must embrace a specific set of tenets that define our path forward.
The Architecture of Excellence
Customer Obsession: We start with the customer and work backwards. Every feature, every line of code, and every process must earn its keep by providing genuine value to those we serve.
The Power of "5 Whys": We don’t treat symptoms; we cure the disease. By asking "Why?" Five times, we peel back the layers of a problem until we reach the root cause, ensuring that when we fix something, it stays fixed.
Dive Deep: Leaders are never above the details. We stay connected to the "ground truth" of our business. If the data and the anecdotes disagree, we investigate until we understand why.
Delivering Results: We focus on the key inputs for our business and deliver them with quality and in a timely fashion. Despite setbacks, we rise to the occasion and never settle.
Cultivating High-Performance Talent
We aren't looking for incremental improvements; we are looking for 10x Developers—those who don't just write more code, but who solve problems with such elegance and foresight that they multiply the effectiveness of everyone around them.
To be clear, our pursuit of 10x Developers is not a metric of scale—it is not about expanding from 10 to 100 in KPI. That is a linear outcome. We seek exponential impact.
A 10x developer is defined by their ability to:
Solve through Elegance: They find the simple path through complex requirements, preventing "technical debt" before it is ever written.
Exhibit Foresight: They build systems that don't just solve today's bug but anticipate next year's bottleneck.
Force Multipliers: Their greatest output isn't their own code; it is the fact that everyone around them becomes more effective because of the tools, clarity, and standards they establish.
We don't want 10 people doing the work of one; we want the one person who makes the other 10 better.
To support this talent, we foster a culture of Radical Listening:
"Listen, repeat, don't judge."
True innovation requires the humility to say, "I don't know." Being comfortable with uncertainty is the first step toward discovery. We don't expect every individual to have every answer, but we do expect them to find the right person to ask the right question.
The Commitment to Growth
Growth is not accidental. It is the result of structured discipline:
Realistic Goals, Absolute Commitment: We set goals that are grounded in reality, but once the path is set, we commit with every resource at our disposal.
Mentorship & Coaching: No one builds a kingdom alone. We actively seek out mentors and coaches to challenge our biases and sharpen our skills. We are all perpetual students.
This is the way it should be. This is the way it will be. We will continue to hire and develop the best, obsessed with the long term, and always raising the bar for what is possible.
