About this event

Databricks User Group Meetup — October 2026

Join us this October at the Databricks User Group Meetup, an in-person experience to gain architectural guidance and best practices grounded in real customer use cases. Whether you're just starting out, sharpening your skills, or exploring what Databricks can offer, this meetup is your gateway to the tools and insights you need to drive data and AI outcomes that matter to your business. Co-hosted with our partners from AWS.

This is shaping up to be one of our best user groups yet. The start of 2026 was eye-opening for all of us when it came to harnessing the power of AI (pun intended), and this session is focused on what people have actually been building since.

Omnigent: a meta-harness for coding agents — Max Howarth, Databricks

One way to work with many coding agents: developer productivity, access to multiple agents from a single place, smart routing to the right model, and MLflow tracing for real observability. Docs: https://omnigent.ai/docs/use/coding-agents

Amazon Quick: AI-powered analytics and automation for the business user — Kattie Sepehri, Solutions Architect, AWS

Quick Sight for BI and dashboards, Quick Flows for AI-powered task automation, and Quick Automate for agents that make decisions and act across your applications. Best of all, Quick integrates with Databricks and Unity Catalog, so your agents run on governed data as their context and knowledge base.

Customer spotlight: Making Genie Enterprise-Ready: From AI Capability to Enterprise Service at VCH — Kevin Wu, Data Enablement Lead, Enterprise Analytics & Business Integration, Mehdi Yadollahi, Principal Data Engineer, Innovation and AI Enablement

How VCH is moving Genie Agents beyond experimentation into an enterprise-ready capability. This session covers the business value, governance framework, operational processes, and technical deployment needed to support Genie Agents at scale.
