About this event

The Databricks Bulgaria User Group is back!

It's time for the first meetup of the 2027 season. We hope everyone had a great summer because we're kicking things off with two excellent sessions from experienced Databricks professionals.

Session 1: Databricks Overlooked Security Areas

Presented by Georgi Slavov

Creating a private workspace and enabling Unity Catalog are important steps, but they do not define the complete Databricks security boundary. In this session, Georgi will explore security areas that organizations often overlook, including account-level governance, privileged access, serverless networking, direct storage access, platform feature management, secure software delivery, monitoring gaps, and AI workload security.

Session 2: Same Question, Two Answers: Making AI Trustworthy on the Lakehouse

Presented by Dimitar Dimitrov

Ask Genie and a dashboard the same revenue question and you can get two different answers, with neither one technically wrong. This session explores why inconsistent business definitions, rather than AI itself, are often the root cause. Dimitar will demonstrate how Unity Catalog Metric Views provide a shared semantic layer for dashboards, SQL, and Genie, creating a single definition of key business metrics.

Speakers
