About this event

Join us on September 15th as Patrick Marshall and Aidan Vandenbush introduce Visual Databricks App Builder (VDAB), a low-code platform for building and deploying applications that run natively on Databricks. Many teams have rich data in Unity Catalog, SQL warehouse, and Lakebase tables, but turning that into polished, interactive apps often means hand-building applications, slow handoffs between data and app teams, and governance overhead along the way.

This session shows how VDAB brings app design into a visual canvas where you can drag-and-drop components, bind them to your Databricks data, define actions and workflows without starting from scratch, and deploy the result as a Databricks App. Patrick and Aidan will demo the end-to-end flow, from setting up an account and connecting a Databricks workspace to building a live app with tables, charts, filters, and workflows that run SQL, update data, and trigger jobs, all inside Databricks.

The focus is on how VDAB helps teams ship governed, data-connected apps faster, so more of your Databricks investment reaches the people who need to use it every day.
