The Databricks Manufacturing & High-Tech User Group is a global, practitioner-led community focused on how data, engineering, analytics, and AI are being applied to real business and operational challenges across manufacturing and high-tech hardware.

This is not a local or regional group. It is a global industry community where business users, operational leaders, and technical practitioners can learn from one another, discuss real use cases, and connect technology decisions to measurable business outcomes.

One of the biggest challenges in data and AI is not always building the solution. It is clearly explaining why the organization should invest in it.

This group will help technical practitioners strengthen their business acumen so they can better articulate the value of their work, build support for use cases, and communicate with business leaders in terms of productivity, profitability, quality, risk, cost, revenue, and operational performance.

It will also help business users better understand the data, architecture, governance, and technical foundations required to move an idea from a business problem into production.

Manufacturing environments are complex. Organizations may be managing multiple plants, ERP and MES platforms, historians, quality systems, maintenance applications, engineering data, supply-chain platforms, legacy technologies, acquisitions, and decades of operational knowledge. This group brings together the people working through those challenges from both the business and technical sides.
